WWE SmackDown To Receive Compensation For Jey Uso
WWE SmackDown will get something back after losing Jey Uso.
At WWE Payback, Cody Rhodes was a guest on The Grayson Waller Effect and what The American Nightmare wanted to talk about was him pulling some strings to bring a new star to Monday Night Raw – an announcement that was even more tantalising following the news of CM Punk’s firing from AEW.
However, Rhodes then introduced Jey Uso who was met with a rousing reception from the crowd in Pittsburgh. Jey Uso then dropped Waller with a super kick as Rhodes allowed him the spotlight.
All of this came after Jey Uso appeared to walk out of SmackDown and the company after his brother Jimmy had cost him the WWE Universal Championship in the main event of SummerSlam against Roman Reigns.
WWE giving something back to the blue brand
On Monday Night Raw in Charlotte, North Carolina, WWE official Adam Pearce noted that SmackDown will receive “trade compensation” as a result of Uso making the switch to Monday nights.
It was not confirmed when that compensation would be acted upon or who would be making the move to Friday nights leaving the door open for a surprise switch somewhere down the line.
