WWE SmackDown Lands Top Free Agent

WWE has continued the call-ups from NXT with SmackDown landing a massive name that will now be appearing on Friday nights.

In recent weeks, the likes of Tiffany Stratton and Elektra Lopez have found themselves graduating to the WWE main roster following stints on NXT and now one other star has signed on the dotted line.

Raw General Manager Adam Pearce and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis had been competing for signatures with Bron Breakker reviewing his options before making a decision. On SmackDown in Salt Lake City, however, Breakker signed on the dotted line with Aldis, committing himself to a future on SmackDown. He will make his in-ring debut as a member of the blue brand’s roster on the February 23rd edition of the show.

Bron Breakker is one of the most highly-touted young stars in WWE as the son of WWE Hall of Famer Rick Steiner. Breakker is a two-time NXT Champion and many had believed he’d be called up to the main roster long before now.

Bron Breakker and Baron Corbin are the current NXT Tag Team Champions, capturing the gold after winning the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic together. It remains to be seen what Breakker’s next career move means for that team.
