Triple H WWE Performance Center

A WWE athlete found success at the Paris Olympics.

On August 10th, Masai Russell claimed gold for the United States in the women’s 100m hurdles. Russell pipped France’s Cyrena Samba-Mayela but just .01 seconds to win the top prize, while Jasmine Camacho-Quinn of Puerto Rico grabbed bronze .02 further back.

Aside from her skills on the track, Russell was a member of WWE’s inaugural NIL class in 2022, and according to Dave Meltzer, she remains under contract with the sports entertainment giant. It’s unclear if and when Russell will make the transition to the squared circle.

Following Russell’s success, Triple H took to social media to praise the star

WWE Makes Interesting New Signing

On August 2nd, Jacob Henry announced he’d signed a deal with WWE. Henry is the son of former World Champion and Hall of Famer Mark Henry.

Despite the announcement, there were many questions surrounding the signing, but a new report has cleared up many of the grey areas. Like Russell, Jacob Henry has signed a NIL deal with WWE, meaning he’ll be paid while attending college.

Henry has enjoyed a fine athletic career to date, competing in football, wrestling, and track and field while at Lake Travis High School. Meanwhile, in more recent times, he’s committed to wrestling for the University of Oklahoma.

Mark Henry recently revealed his son is already dreaming of headlining WrestleMania and competing in Japan.
