New WWE Signing Makes Winning Start At Live Event

Triple H holding a WWE ticket

WWE’s latest signing is off to a winning start.

Just hours after it was announced by CMLL that Stephanie Vaquer would be leaving the promotion, Shawn Michaels welcomed the star to WWE on social media.

The quick turnaround caught many by surprise as there had been strong speculation the star would join AEW after her match against Mercedes Mone at Forbidden Door.

Just days after signing, Vaquer made a winning start to life as a WWE Superstar, seeing off Isla Dawn at a live event in Mexico City on July 13th.

After the match, Vaquer addressed the crowd, telling fans she was living her dream.

However, it’s been reported that the nature of Stephanie Vaquer’s move has upset several promotions who had booked her for matches in the coming weeks.

Stephanie Vaquer Signs “Tremendous” WWE Deal

Ahead of signing with the sports entertainment giant, Vaquer was also subject to serious interest from AEW. However, it seems the sports entertainment giant was determined not to miss out on the star as they had done with the likes of Will Ospreay and Mercedes Mone.

According to a recent report, WWE made Stephanie Vaquer a “tremendous offer” to ward off interest from Tony Khan.

Meanwhile, AEW looks set to land Ricochet after he became a free agent on July 1st. Former NXT star Dijak has also confirmed he’s interested in joining the company.
