WWE Has “Significant Plans” For Another Popular Rising Star

Triple H WWE WrestleMania press conference

WWE has big plans for one of its most popular female stars.

Although Stephanie Vaquer was forced to wait for her in-ring debut after signing with WWE in July 2024, it was immediately apparent that the company had big plans for the Chilean star.

Vaquer was quickly thrown into the NXT Women’s Championship picture, and she went on to win the title after also claiming the Women’s North American Championship. Following her move to Raw, Vaquer’s rapid rise has continued, and she’s already one of the most popular stars in the company.

WWE Preparing “Character Upgrades” For Stephanie Vaquer

At Evolution, Stephanie Vaquer took her next step towards the top of the company with a win in the 20-woman Evolution battle royal. Crucially, that win means Vaquer will challenge for the Women’s World Championship at Clash in Paris.

According to a new report from Wrestle Votes, WWE has major plans for Vaquer heading into the second half of 2025, and “character upgrades” could also be on the way.

“WWE has significant plans for Stephanie Vaquer heading into the fall, marketing and Creative Services have already presented her with several character upgrades, including refinements to her overall presentation, though her signature horns are expected to remain part of the look.”

The report added that Vaquer’s interview with Stephanie McMahon following her victory at Evolution was also a calculated part of his strategy.

“We’re also told the post-match interview with Stephanie McMahon at Evolution was done intentionally as a way to elevate Vaquer by placing her alongside McMahon and positioning her as a major star going forward.”

In the weeks after Evolution, Vaquer has continued to be in and around the top of the women’s division and quickly dismissed Isla Dawn in a little over two minutes. She followed that up by going toe-to-toe with former Women’s World Champion Iyo Sky on Raw.
