WWE Show Seconds From Being Pulled Off Air

The final edition of NXT on the USA Network was almost pulled off the air during the show’s biggest segment which featured a huge surprise.

On the 24th of September edition of NXT, Giulia and Perez were in the ring for a press conference when they were rudely interrupted. Before any outlets could ask any questions, new WWE star Stephanie Vaquer appeared on the video screen and asked the two stars “What are you going to do when you have me waiting on the other side of your NXT Women’s Championship match?”

The show ended with a staredown between champion and challenger while the image of Stephanie Vaquer was ominously watching on.

Giulia and Roxanne Perez will clash on the first edition of NXT on the CW Network but it seems the brand almost got a very abrupt send-off from the USA Network.

WWE NXT Almost Pulled Off Air

Fightful Select has reported that the show’s long overrun almost caused the USA Network to pull it from the air with the episode managing to end with just seconds to spare.

WWE will continue its relationship with the USA Network beyond NXT as SmackDown recently joined the network. Raw will continue to air on the USA Network for the rest of 2024 before it makes its hugely anticipated move to Netflix in January 2025.
