WWE Adds Contract Signing To July 24th Raw
A contract signing has been added to a loaded July 24th edition of WWE Raw on the road to SummerSlam.
This year’s WWE SummerSlam event is two weeks away on Saturday, August 5th from Ford Field in Detroit. While there are about four matches that are official right now after last night’s Smackdown, this Monday on Raw will likely lead to several more matches being added.
Seth Rollins already beat Finn Balor at Money in the Bank three weeks ago to retain the World Heavyweight Title, but Balor claimed he was distracted by the presence of his friend, “Senor” Money in the Bank Damian Priest at ringside.
Since then Balor has been trying to get a rematch for the World Heavyweight Title and it was officially announced last Monday on Raw.
It has officially been announced that on the Monday, July 24th edition of Raw in Tampa, Florida, Rollins and Balor will sign the contract to make their SummerSlam match official.
Based on last week’s Raw and what they mentioned during Smackdown, here’s a rundown of what’s coming up on Raw this Monday.
* Becky Lynch vs. Zoey Stark. If Becky wins, she gets a rematch with Trish Stratus that will likely be at SummerSlam.
* Drew McIntyre and the Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER go face-to-face. That should set up their SummerSlam match.
* Logan Paul returns to respond to Ricochet. Once again, it should set up that SummerSlam match.
* The Seth Rollins and Finn Balor contract signing to make their World Heavyweight Title match official.
* Cody Rhodes will respond to Brock Lesnar after Brock’s attack last week on Raw. Lesnar is not advertised for Raw this Monday, but Lesnar is advertised for the July 31st Raw in Houston.
* Tommaso Ciampa vs. Bronson Reed has been announced as well.
If you sum it up, there will be three matches likely added to the SummerSlam card after Monday’s Raw. This is what is advertised for SummerSlam so far:
* Tribal Combat Match (Anything Goes) For the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns (c) vs. Jey Uso
* Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes
* World Heavyweight Championship: Seth “Freakin” Rollins (c) vs. Finn Balor
* WWE Women’s Championship: Asuka (c) vs. Bianca Belair vs. Charlotte Flair
You can watch SummerSlam streaming live on Saturday, August 5, at 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT on Peacock in the United States and WWE Network everywhere else.
