Did WWE Scrap Seth Rollins’ Cash-In at SNME After Injury?

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins suffered a legitimate knee injury at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.

During a bout against LA Knight, The Visionary appeared to injure his knee after an awkward landing mid-match. Despite his best efforts to push through, Rollins was ultimately defeated after Knight hit the BFT.

Fans immediately began to speculate whether WWE had planned a major moment for Rollins later that night, specifically, a cash-in of his Money in the Bank briefcase during the World Heavyweight Championship match between Gunther and Goldberg.

WWE Reportedly Had No Plans for Seth Rollins to Cash In at SNME, Despite Speculation

According to Ringside News, there were no plans for Seth Rollins to cash in his Money in the Bank contract at Saturday Night’s Main Event. The original booking remained largely intact, with only one audible being called, LA Knight’s victory over Rollins, which wasn’t initially planned. The cash-in speculation, while understandable given the timing, was never on WWE’s internal rundown for the event.

WWE, it seems, was committed to protecting its main storylines and preserving the prestige of the Money in the Bank contract, despite Rollins’ legitimate injury. The company continues to keep a tight lid on when or, even if, Mr. Money in the Bank will cash in anytime soon.

What’s Next for the Briefcase?

Rollins captured the Money in the Bank briefcase by outlasting five other top superstars, Andrade, El Grande Americano, LA Knight, Penta, and Solo Sikoa, in a chaotic ladder match at the 2025 Money in the Bank Premium Live Event. Now, with Rollins potentially sidelined due to injury, the future of that briefcase remains uncertain.

Will he return in time for SummerSlam? Or will WWE be forced to adjust their plans once again? Only time will tell.
