WWE Set To Offer Contract To Current AEW Star
WWE is contemplating offering a contract to a popular AEW star after their contract expires next year.
Danhausen, whose contract with the Florida company ends in February 2026, has been a topic of discussion among several higher-ups in the Stamford promotion.
A tiny glitch, however, is that not everyone is sold on the idea.
During a recent Q&A session, WrestleVotes revealed that WWE’s opinions are split when it comes to signing Danhausen next year. One of the reasons for bringing him is his popularity with fans.
I know there are people there who want him to come over, and I also know there are people there who aren’t very keen on him or his talents. I’m sure there will be an offer—he’s talented and he’s over. But I know some people there just don’t get it, and that’s fair. So we’ll see. I don’t think him coming over is a done deal yet. Recently, Fightful Select revealed that the AEW star’s contract was expiring in February. The original duration of the contract was until mid-2025, but the company added a few months due to Danhausen being out due to an injury.
The 35-year-old last competed in the company in 2023; since recovering from his injury, he has been competing in the indies.
Popular WWE Star Confirms Current Contract May Be His Last
A 53-year-old WWE talent recently confirmed that they might not get another contract to compete in the company.
R-Truth made the revelation around Saturday Night’s Main Event.
I always like to say, I steal this from The Rock, I let pain in my body be my guide as far as when it’s time for me to go. Right now, I still feel good — I’ve thought about it. As you know, I just renewed my deal, so it’s like… this could be the last one. We all have to have that time. We all have to get off the ride at some point.
On June 1, 2025, it was revealed that the promotion had let R-Truth go as his contract had expired. Following the announcement from the superstar himself, an outcry followed, forcing the company’s higher-ups to intervene and re-sign him.
Truth returned at WWE Money in the Bank and attacked John Cena, and in the subsequent weeks, sported a serious gimmick, going by his real name, Ron Killings.
However, he reverted to his offbeat persona, although he has yet to be featured in a significant storyline.
