WWE Seemingly Spoiled Ex-Champion’s Return After 13 Months

WWE may have seemingly spoiled the return of an injured star.

Kiana James had suffered a knee injury in June 2024 that required surgery.

She last wrestled on the June 17, 2024, RAW episode in a triple threat Money in the Bank qualifying match against Iyo Sky and Zelina Vega.

It has been over a year now, and WWE may be planning a return for her.

However, if that was the plan, it may have been spoiled, thanks to the official Evolution 2 poster.

The poster, unveiled on Netflix and the Peacock streaming platform, shows James posing behind Candice LeRae.

While WWE has made no official comments about Kiana James’ return, it will be interesting to see whether she shows up at all on the all-women’s PLE on July 13 and in what capacity.

Kabuki Warriors To Reunite For WWE Evolution

The recent WWE episodes have featured dedicated segments announcing matches for Evolution.

The July 7 episode of RAW showed Ivy Nile and Nikki Bella added to the battle royal match.

Previously, manager Adam Pearce had confirmed a triple threat match for the women’s Intercontinental Championship, with Becky Lynch defending against Lyra Valkyria and Bayley.

Pearce also announced that The Kabuki Warriors, comprising Asuka and Kairi Sane, would reunite, as they were added to the women’s four-way tag team championship match.

The Kabuki Warriors are two-time women’s tag team champions.

Asuka came to the aid of Sane after the latter’s match against Roxanne Perez. Sane defeated Roxanne in their singles match, prompting Raquel Rodriguez to launch an attack on Sane.
