WWE Scraps Huge Brock Lesnar Plans
With Crown Jewel behind us, the WWE Universe was looking forward to Survivor Series. Brock Lesnar was rumored to be a huge part of the WarGames match this year. But the plans have apparently changed.
According to a report from Fightful, WWE’s original plan was to have Austin Theory (who is currently absent from WWE due to an undisclosed injury) and Brock Lesnar join Seth Rollins and The Vision faction for a Survivor Series WarGames match against Roman Reigns’ team, which was to include names like CM Punk, Jacob Fatu, Jey Uso and possibly Jimmy Uso or LA Knight.
However, after Seth Rollins suffered an arm injury at WWE Crown Jewel. He was seen wearing a sling after the Perth PLE, and later on RAW, his own teammates, Bron Breakker, Bronson Reed, and Paul Heyman, betrayed him. Given the turn of events, it seems the Stamford-based company has effectively canceled or changed those Survivor Series WarGames plans.
Fightful specifically noted that while the scenario was indeed a confirmed option as of last week, it has now been largely dismissed after the events following this week’s Monday Night Raw, due to Rollins’ injury and the creative pivot on TV.
The planned inclusion of Austin Theory and Brock Lesnar on the Vision team will no longer proceed in the originally envisioned WarGames format, and WWE is now restructuring the event.
Will Brock Lesnar Officially Get Back With Paul Heyman?
Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman reunited briefly at Wrestlepalooza when The Oracle introduced The Beast Incarnate for his match with John Cena. Fans wondered whether Lesnar would join hands with Heyman, given that he was already with Rollins, and if he’d join The Vision, then how would the power dynamics work?
But after what the WWE Universe witnessed on RAW, Heyman might try to add The Conqueror to his Vision 2.0. The addition of Brock Lesnar to the group, with Rollins gone, might prove to be a significant advantage as the stable is already filled with powerhouse juggernauts like Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed. It would make them unstoppable in WWE.
