WWE Scrapped 6-Time WWE Champion From John Cena’s Farewell Tour
John Cena’s Farewell Tour has only a few dates left and is scheduled to conclude in December 2025.
So far, the Farewell Tour has been rather thrilling to watch. Fans experienced John Cena’s heel turn, the record-breaking 17th World Championship, The Rock’s return, The Champ’s transformation back into a babyface, and Brock Lesnar’s return at SummerSlam 2025.
During this time, The Leader of Cenation has had feuds with Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, R-Truth, and is currently in a feud with Logan Paul.
John Cena’s final opponent is yet to be finalized
While the global juggernaut is going through the roster, the goal is to ensure that John Cena’s final match is profoundly impactful and is a testament to his career.
While everyone wants to be a part of the Farewell Tour, the global juggernaut can only handpick a few.
On the Dirty Sheets Wrestling Informer Podcast, Billi Bhatti spoke about the picks and revealed that WWE scrapped the idea of including AJ Styles in the Farewell Tour. Two other names considered were Kevin Owens and Adam Copeland, but the former is out with an injury, and the latter is in AEW.
As for who his opponents will be, I have absolutely no idea what they are planning to do. What I know they’re not doing is they are no longer doing John Cena versus AJ Styles.”
Kevin Owens was another one, but Kevin Owens is injured. Adam Copeland — Edge — is no longer in the company. [h/t: Ringside News]
