WWE Schedules Show In Same City On Same Day As AEW PPV
A major American city will be hosting a WWE show and a major AEW event on the same day later in 2024.
The WWE Smackdown brand was in Orlando on August 16th and they had a sold out crowd at the Kia Center with over 15,000 fans in attendance.
It was a show filled with a lot of action as The Street Profits beat #DIY in an incredible tag team match to earn a WWE Tag Team Title match. The main event segment looked like it was going well for Roman Reigns until his cousin Jacob Fatu attacked the Original Tribal Chief, which led to Solo Sikoa’s version of The Bloodline putting Reigns through a table.
At the Smackdown taping, World Wrestling Entertainment promoted the next time they are going to Orlando: Saturday, December 28th for a live event.
What’s interesting about that date and city is that All Elite Wrestling is doing their final PPV of 2024 called World’s End at Orlando’s Addition Financial Arena.
There it is

The AEW PPV World’s End will be an evening show like all of their pay-per-view events.
That World Wrestling Entertainment live event in Orlando on December 28th is also an evening show according to the Ticketmaster website where fans can get tickets for the show.
What that means for wrestling fans in Orlando is they’ll have two different options for wrestling shows that night.
Tony Khan Accuses WWE Of Contract Tampering
AEW Owner, CEO & booker Tony Khan has spoken openly about various WWE tactics to make AEW’s life more difficult. While Khan doesn’t specifically mention WWE President Nick Khan (no relation) or Chief Content Officer Paul “Triple H” Levesque in interviews, he clearly has an issue with things that WWE does.
While speaking recently on The Dan LeBatard Show, Tony Khan made it clear that he didn’t think WWE has stopped contract tampering with AEW talent.
“I don’t think that it has. It’s still happening. I will reserve all rights when it comes to that, but I don’t think that it’s stopped. I’ll leave it at that.”
As usual in today’s era of pro wrestling, there are rumors of AEW stars like The Lucha Bros going to WWE but AEW could make a move that puts a stop to that. Meanwhile, former WWE Champion Bobby Lashley and his good friend MVP are free agents, which could lead the duo to sign with AEW in the future.
