WWE Royal Rumble To Move From Traditional January Slot

Triple H WWE

A new report has offered an update on a series of upcoming WWE events.

According to a new report from Wrestle Votes, several WWE events could be heading to Indiana. The report states that the company is nearing agreement on a new multi-event deal with the Indiana Sports Corp which would see multiple shows held at Lucas Oil Stadium.

The agreement would see the 2025 Royal Rumble held at the venue, while WrestleMania and SummerSlam would be locked in for a future date. There’s no word on when the latter events would take place.

As part of the deal, the Rumble would move from its traditional January slot — albeit only slightly, to be held on February 1st for the first time.

WrestleVotes Exclusive: I’m told WWE & the Indiana Sports Corp are nearing a multi-event deal, starting with the 2025 Royal Rumble at Lucas Oil Stadium on Saturday, February 1st, 2025. In addition, the deal is likely to include a future WrestleMania & SummerSlam, which would both take place at Lucas Oil Stadium.

WWE SummerSlam Moving To Two Nights

Back in May, it was announced plans had already been drawn up for WWE SummerSlam to be split over two nights. At present, the only multi-night event on the company’s Premium Live Event schedule is WrestleMania.

The change will come into effect in 2026 when the summer spectacular is held at the US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis on August 1st and 2nd.

Minneapolis had been the front-runner to host WrestleMania 41, but the event was eventually given to Las Vegas.
