For the first time in history, WWE Royal Rumble will be held outside North America.

In January this year, an official press release from the Stamford company stated that the 2026 Royal Rumble would be held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Since 2018, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has hosted several premium live events as well as a handful of RAW and SmackDown episodes.

In September, when WWE announced Saudi Arabia as the host of WrestleMania 43, it was also unveiled that the Royal Rumble would take place on January 31.

Now, after multiple back-and-forth internal discussions, the company has seemingly settled on the start time for the annual event.

According to WrestleVotes via Fightful Select, the Royal Rumble PLE will commence at 2 PM ET.

For the North American wrestling fans, it would mean adjusting their viewing plans. Reportedly, the card will have four matches, with two Royal Rumble matches allotted for male and female talents.

Despite featuring fewer matches, the event is expected to deliver on all fronts. The last premium live event held in the country was WWE Night of Champions in June.

WWE’s Massive Plans For 2026 Royal Rumble

Hosting the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia for the first time in 2026, WWE plans to go all out in making it a spectacular event.

While no official plans have been revealed yet, industry insiders claim that several names have been considered to win the multi-wrestler event, although the ideas are subject to change.

Brock Lesnar, who returned at SummerSlam, is one of the frontrunners to win, leading up to a title match at WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Lesnar recently competed in the men’s WarGames match at Survivor Series, where his team won against the CM Punk-led side.
