WWE Hall Of Famer Thinks Roman Reigns & Jey Uso Deserve Emmy Awards

Roman Reigns and Jey Uso have been the key parts of The Bloodline story for nearly three years and one WWE Hall of Famer thinks they should get an Emmy.

When Roman Reigns started the “Tribal Chief” storyline in August 2020, he quickly became the Universal Champion, which is a title he has since held for 900+ days. Reigns added the WWE Title at last year’s WrestleMania 38 event to become the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion.

After becoming Universal Champion, Roman Reigns had a lengthy feud with his own cousin Jey Uso while Jimmy Uso was out of action with a knee injury. As most people know, Roman and The Usos are the same age, went to school together and are as close as brothers. Reigns beat Jey in a Hell in a Cell match, but Jey didn’t give up and eventually, after Reigns beat up Jimmy, Jey gave up.

While Jey was loyal to Reigns for most of the last three years, they have had issues recently when Jey refused to join Roman, Jimmy and Solo Sikoa in beating up Sami Zayn at the Royal Rumble. Since then, The Bloodline has had some major issues.

During an appearance on WrestleBinge by Sportskeeda, WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley said Roman and Jey deserve Emmy Awards along with others in the storyline.

“Everyone in that storyline should get [an Emmy], including, you know, right after Roman, it’s got to be Jey Uso. The stuff that The Usos are now doing is tremendous. We all knew what they could do in the ring, but now, what they’re doing on the mic is truly tremendous.”

“So, to have that element of The Usos and the Head of the Table, Roman Reigns, and of course with Sami and Mr. Paul Heyman, I mean, you can’t lose.”

D-Von Dudley isn’t the first one to say that The Bloodline deserved an Emmy Award because the “Special Counsel” Paul Heyman said it in the past as well.

What are the Emmy Awards? “The Emmy Awards, or Emmys, are an extensive range of awards for artistic and technical merit for the American and international television industry.”

Despite WWE Monday Night Raw being one of the top shows on cable for 30 years and Smackdown running for nearly 24 years, WWE does not get acknowledged by the Emmy Awards despite some incredible performances by WWE superstars on a regular basis.
