WWE Gives Roman Reigns Health Update Following Brutal Attack
Roman Reigns left WWE Clash in Paris on a stretcher, and now there’s an update on how he’s doing.
In the opening match at WWE Clash in Paris, Roman Reigns beat Bronson Reed in a very physical match. After 22 minutes of action, Reigns hit a Spear to put the big man away and get the win.
After the match, Reigns put his former “Wise Man” Paul Heyman in a Guillotine Choke, and Heyman tapped out, before falling to the mat.
Reigns regained the two pairs of shoes that Reed had stolen from him. Reigns signed the shoes and threw them into the crowd. While Reigns was on the commentary table, Bron Breakker showed up at ringside and gave Reigns a devastating Spear through the commentary table.
Over the next ten minutes, Reed and Breakker went on to beat up Reigns in a significant way, with Breakker hitting multiple Spears and Reed hitting the devastating Tsunami splash off the top rope. Jey Uso tried to help his cousin Reigns, but he was overwhelmed as well.
Following the attack, Roman Reigns was taken away on a stretcher, so even though he won the match, he didn’t look like a winner.
In an update on Reigns during the WWE Raw broadcast from Paris, it was mentioned by announcer Michael Cole that Reigns had multiple broken ribs, so he’s out indefinitely.
As for Heyman, he suffered a larynx contusion due to Reigns choking him out.
Roman Reigns Wants To Continue Being A WWE Superstar While Pursuing Acting Roles
The health update on Roman Reigns is just a storyline. In reality, Reigns is set to start filming the “Street Fighter” movie that the WWE Champion Cody Rhodes is also a part of.
When Roman Reigns recently discussed his acting career, he made it clear that he wants to continue being a WWE superstar while also growing as an actor.
“I wanted to be the first guy who could do both. I know John did it his way, but to really be able to do both and damn near lead a movie and also still main event a pay-per-view and have that responsibility. There’s a lot riding on that.
And I understand there’s insurances and all different things behind it but to be able to hold that type of responsibility and to be able to juggle both, I think that’s something that this generation and hopefully I’m one of the first to be able to do it. So I don’t want to stop being a WWE Superstar in order to wear other hats.
I’m always gonna be a WWE Superstar. I’m always gonna be Roman Reigns. I don’t want to ever have to choose.”
It’s not known yet when Roman Reigns will return to WWE, but whne he does, he’ll likely be coming after The Vision’s Seth Rollins, Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed.
