WWE Allegedly Risked Injury Of Major Star By Last-Minute Decision
WWE has been accused of risking injury to one of its stars by making a very last-minute call.
Alexa Bliss returned to a WWE ring for the first time in 2 years at the 2025 Royal Rumble. Speaking to WWE Hall of Famers Nikki and Brie Bella, Bliss revealed just how last-minute her addition to the show had been:
I got the call at midnight the night before. I got the call [then], and it wasn’t fully decided until like 4 am. And then I get a call at 5. They’re like, ‘Alright, we need you on a plane by 10 am.’
But that story hasn’t gone down well with everyone, given how long Alexa Bliss had been absent from the ring.
WWE Risked Alexa Bliss Injury
Speaking on Coach & Bro, former WWE writer Vince Russo expressed his incredulity that WWE had left it so late in the day to confirm Bliss for the show and think the company risked injury through their actions:
Here’s where my mind went – injury! You’re not gonna worry about her being injured? She hasn’t been in a ring. She hasn’t been training. She hasn’t been working out. You’re going to call her the night before to be in a Royal Rumble match with 30 other women, where we know things go wrong and put her in jeopardy of being injured. That was my number one thing.
