5-Time WWE Champion Revealed As the Fourth El Grande Americano
A fourth El Grande Americano recently shocked the WWE Universe on Monday Night RAW. It was recently revealed that a 5-time WWE Champion is behind the latest masked disguise.
The El Grande Americano saga started as a clever mystery, but injuries, stand-ins, and surprise run-ins have turned it into a full-blown “multiverse” on RAW.
The original El Grande Americano is Chad Gable, who adopted the mask during a lucha quest and won the WWE Speed Championship as the character. Gable was sidelined due to a legitimate shoulder injury. WWE has kept the persona alive with stand-ins while he recovers.
Ludwig Kaiser took over the role in Gable’s absence and began appearing under the mask. He first appeared on the June 30, 2025, episode of RAW. Then another Americano emerged mid-show on the July 28 edition of WWE’s Flagship show.
He was clearly a different build, and multiple outlets identified him as Pete Dunne. He interfered during Judgment Day’s WWE World Tag Team Championship defense against LWO and set the table for more chaos the following week.
Who Is WWE’s Fourth El Grande Americano?
The fourth El Grande Americano appeared on the August 4 episode of WWE Monday Night RAW during the Dominik Mysterio vs. Dragon Lee match. He joined two other Americanos in a coordinated distraction that handed the reigning WWE Intercontinental Champion the win.
Fans claim the fourth Americano is Tyler Bate, whose ring build matched the masked run-in during the multi-Americanos finish on August 4. Bate is a two-time WWE NXT United Kingdom Champion, one-time NXT Tag Team Champion, one-time NXT UK Tag Team Champion, and one-time NXT UK Heritage Cup Champion.
