WWE Returning To Europe For Premium Live Event
WWE will be returning to Europe in 2025.
In recent years WWE has made an effort to expand like never before. This includes a huge new deal between the sports entertainment giant and TNA Wrestling, as well as an effort to hold several Premium Live Events outside of North America.
In 2023 this saw the company land in Australia, Scotland, France, Germany, and Saudi Arabia.
Following on from the success of Backlash in Lyon, France, it seems WWE has already made plans to return.
While doing a “fireside chat” at an event in Las Vegas, Nick Khan confirmed plans for WWE to return to France for a Premium Live Event in 2025. As noted by WrestleZone’s Bill Pritchard who was in attendance, Khan noted that the event will be held in Paris, but has yet to be publicly announced.
There was no word on which event he was referring to.
WWE Royal Rumble Going International
The comments from Khan come after it was recently announced that the Royal Rumble will be held in Saudi Arabia in 2026. This marks the first time the event has ever been held outside of North America.
The company has been holding multiple events in Saudi Arabia every year since 2018 as part of a huge 10-year agreement. The Rumble will be by far the biggest event ever held in the kingdom with its history stretching back to 1988.
As a result, it’s been reported that WWE could make only one trip to Saudi Arabia in 2025, with that event coming in June.
