“Some In WWE Are Repulsed, Others Not So” By Vince McMahon Allegations

A new report has given an insight into how the WWE locker room feels about Vince McMahon.

In January 2024, former WWE employee Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, John Laurinaitis, and WWE. The lawsuit contained allegations of sexual assault and sex trafficking.

Since the allegations were made public, there has been no comment from the vast majority of the locker room, with only the likes of CM Punk, Becky Lynch, and Randy Orton speaking on the issue.

This led to Cody Rhodes being asked about the perceived wall of silence during the post-Bash In Berlin press conference. The Undisputed WWE Champion largely danced around the question and said the locker room is generally focused on their jobs in the ring.

Writing in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that while Rhodes didn’t give a real answer to the question it was impossible for him to do so. Meltzer added that he’s aware of talent who are “repulsed” by the allegations, and others who are “not so,” furthermore, some have stayed quiet out of uncertainty about the reaction from management.

I know some are repulsed. I know some are not so you can’t answer for the locker room in general. Some, like C.M. Punk, Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey have given their own personal answers but most aren’t going to say anything because you just don’t know how management will take it.

Plus, Grant didn’t just sue McMahon and John Laurinaitis, the company itself was sued and all three defendants are pushing hard for the suit to be thrown out and the case settled through arbitration, which a judge will have to rule on when the case comes back alive in December.

Vince McMahon Documentary Trailer Released

In the days after Bash In Berlin, Netflix released the first trailer for the upcoming documentary “Mr. McMahon” on the disgraced former WWE boss. The clip drew a mixed reaction from fans, with some feeling it showed that the documentary wouldn’t do enough to tackle the allegations of sexual abuse hanging over McMahon.

The two-minute clip features appearances from The Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, and Bruce Prichard.

In response to the lawsuit filed by Grant, Vince McMahon has continued to deny any wrongdoing.
