WWE Reportedly Eager To Re-Sign Major Legend

Triple H WWE boss

WWE may be looking to bring back a familiar face to bolster its women’s division, and it’s none other than a true trailblazer, Gail Kim.

With the all-women’s premium live event, Evolution 2, just around the corner, the Stamford-based promotion could be setting the stage for a major return. According to Fightful Select, the company has shown genuine interest in re-signing Gail Kim.

She was recently spotted backstage at NXT, not just once but on multiple occasions, suggesting that discussions may already be in motion. While no deal has been confirmed yet, sources within WWE have remained tight-lipped, only noting that Kim is not officially with the company as of now.

Gail Kim’s long and successful stint with TNA (now known as Impact Wrestling) came to an end earlier this year. She worked as a producer and occasionally as on-screen talent for over a decade.

On March 25, 2025, she was let go from the company, officially ending her 14-year tenure. Her departure shocked many, as she had become a cornerstone of the Knockouts division, both in and out of the ring.

Gail Kim’s Decorated Career in TNA and WWE

Kim’s wrestling career is well-decorated. She is a seven-time Knockouts Champion in TNA and was inducted into the TNA Hall of Fame in 2016. Her style, resilience, and passion helped elevate women’s wrestling in an era when it was often overlooked.

As for her WWE history, Kim made her debut in 2003 and won the WWE Women’s Championship in her very first match. However, her WWE run was short-lived and often considered underwhelming, prompting her to part ways with the company in 2011. She later became a vocal critic of how WWE handled its women’s division at the time.

Despite the rocky past, the Stamford-based promotion appears eager to mend fences. With Evolution 2 scheduled for July 13, many believe that if a deal is finalized soon, the event could mark Kim’s official return to the company where she first debuted over two decades ago.
