WWE Report: Rusev Dealing With Shoulder Injury; Possible Surgery

TJR Wrestling

Rusev, former WWE United States Champion, is reportedly scheduled to be missing an undisclosed period of time. This is according to The Wrestling Observer.

At a WWE Live Event this past weekend, Big Show supposedly told a fan that Rusev has to undergo shoulder surgery which will keep him out of action for a while.

Big Show beat Rusev at Raw’s Fatlane pay-per-view last week. When the fan asked Big Show why he defeated Rusev, Big Show supposedly said “he’s having shoulder surgery and I put him over strong years ago.”

This news of Rusev’s supposed shoulder injury and subsequent surgery is in no way confirmed. However, we felt it was worth mentioning since that is why he was off live events this weekend and likely off television tonight.

If he needs shoulder surgery similar to what the likes of John Cena, Cesaro, Finn Balor and others have gone through in the last few years then that means he might be on the shelf for 5-6 months. When there is official news of surgery and timetable for a return, we will let you know.
