WWE Reportedly Replaced Travis Scott With Major Star In SummerSlam Plans
Travis Scott’s WWE Status Remains Unclear After WrestleMania Cameo.
Fans were surprised when Travis Scott, who made a splash during WrestleMania 41 weekend, quietly vanished from WWE television in the months that followed.
After aiding John Cena in his shocking heel turn and playing a pivotal role in Mania’s main event, many believed the rap icon was set for a major in-ring debut. That buzz carried over into SummerSlam speculation until Scott’s name was nowhere to be seen on the official card.
Why Travis Scott Was Replaced by Jelly Roll?
According to Wrestling Observer Live’s Bryan Alvarez, Scott was originally scheduled for a tag team match at WWE SummerSlam, potentially alongside another celebrity crossover star.
“I’m not gonna sit here and tell you I know the whole story because I would be lying,” Alvarez admitted. “But something happened with Travis Scott. Travis Scott was supposed to be in a match at SummerSlam.”
He added, “I believe it was going to be a tag match involving Travis Scott and Bad Bunny. So it may have been like Travis Scott and Drew against Bad Bunny and Randy. It was gonna be something. And something happened with Travis Scott, and he is off the show.”
While the specifics surrounding Scott’s removal remain undisclosed, Alvarez noted that his replacement seems to have already stepped in.
“So Jelly Roll appears to have taken his spot, and I guess they’ve decided that a good counterpart for Jelly Roll would be Logan Paul,” he said. “So anyway, that’s what happened, and that’s why this match (Jelly & Orton vs Logan & McIntyre) is taking place.” [H/T WrestleTalk]
Travis Scott was reportedly planned for a match at WWE SummerSlam also involving Bad Bunny, but “something happened” with Scott and he was pulled from the show:

Bad Bunny’s involvement was also scrapped, though that had more to do with his touring schedule than any WWE-related fallout.
WWE’s Adjusted SummerSlam Lineup
WWE’s decision to feature Jelly Roll in a tag match was set into motion on the July 12 edition of SmackDown. The Grammy-winning artist made a surprise appearance, where he was interrupted by Logan Paul. The segment ended in chaos as McIntyre hit The Viper with a Claymore, The Maverick followed, and Jelly Roll rushed to Orton’s aid.
The partnership was further cemented on Saturday Night’s Main Event after The Apex Predator beat The Scottish Warrior, and Logan attacked Orton, only for Jelly Roll to step in, save Orton, and eat a Claymore in the process. Backstage, Jelly Roll and Orton issued the official SummerSlam challenge.
The reshuffle not only introduced Jelly Roll into a marquee match but subtly closed the chapter on Travis Scott’s rumored wrestling debut, at least for now. Whether WWE still has long-term plans for the rapper remains unclear.
