Randy Orton WWE

Randy Orton returned to the ring at WWE Survivor Series in WarGames and his old rival Kurt Angle couldn’t be happier for his comeback.

Randy Orton returned to a WWE ring in WarGames at Survivor Series after spending eighteen months on the sidelines. Randy Orton was told not to return to wrestling after undergoing back fusion surgery but returned he has and that can only mean good news for WWE.

Speaking on The Kurt Angle Show, the WWE Hall of Famer explained how happy he was that Randy Orton was able to make it back to the ring and said WWE needed its Apex Predator back:

Yes, he looks like a Superstar. Randy Orton being back in the WWE, that’s the best news I’ve heard in a couple of years. I mean, Randy is really special. He’s an unbelievably talented individual and I think WWE really needed him.

He does look great. I’m just happy he’s back because he really struggled with that surgery. Yeah, wasn’t getting better he was really frustrated and I’m just glad that he was able to make it back.

Randy Orton Picks His WWE Brand

On SmackDown in New York City, Orton was offered contracts for both Raw and SmackDown. Ultimately, The Viper opted to join WWE SmackDown as he looks to settle the score with Roman Reigns and The Bloodline.

SmackDown General Manager celebrated the choice with Orton but ultimately ate an RKO for his troubles, perhaps a small price to pay for landing one of WWE’s biggest free agents.
