WWE Raw To Get New Start Time
The reason behind the upcoming WWE changes has been revealed.
Throughout September, Monday Night Raw will air at 7pm Eastern instead of in its regular 8pm slot. While the change might seem relatively minor, it could have big implications for the company.
As reported on Wrestle Votes Radio, the show will air earlier on September 15, 22, and 29 as a way of minimising the clash with the opening rounds of the new NFL season. On September 15 and 29, there will be two Monday night games instead of one.
With less of Raw going up against Monday Night Football, it’s hoped that the show will take a much smaller hit in the ratings.
The 2025-2026 NFL season kicks off on September 4 as the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Dallas Cowboys. The first Monday night game to go up against Raw will be the Chicago Bears vs. the Minnesota Vikings on September 8.
“Monday night, Raw will have a special start time of 7pm Eastern for a few weeks this upcoming September, specifically on the 15th, 22nd, and 29th.
According to a source, this decision was made some time ago as WWE and Netflix want to see how the show performs with an earlier start-up against Monday Night Football.”
Raw on September 1 will also have an earlier start time due to the taping being held in Paris, following Clash In Paris 24 hours earlier.
Meanwhile, it’s been announced that Seth Rollins will be a guest host on the NFL Network’s Good Morning Football show. Rollins is a long-time fan of the Chicago Bears.
WWE Could Make Late Addition To Clash In Paris
According to a different report, WWE could add another match to Clash In Paris just 48 hours before the event. It’s believed that the company is considering adding Randy Orton vs. Drew McIntyre to the card.
At present, just five matches have been announced for the event, with Seth Rollins, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Becky Lynch, and John Cena all scheduled to be in action.
You can find the updated card for Clash In Paris below.
- Seth Rollins (c) vs. LA Knight vs. CM Punk vs. Jey Uso – World Heavyweight Championship
- Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed
- Becky Lynch (c) vs. Nikki Bella – Women’s Intercontinental Championship
- John Cena vs. Logan Paul
- Sheamus vs. Rusev – Good Ol’ Fashioned Donnybrook match
