WWE RAW Star Ripped Apart For Being “Horrible”

WWE Monday Night RAW’s Lyra Valkyria continues to face harsh criticism, but not for her wrestling, rather for her mic skills.

Wrestling veteran Vince Russo has openly slammed Valkyria’s ability to engage audiences during promos, calling her verbal performances terrible and unconvincing. Despite Valkyria’s recognized in-ring talent, Russo points out a consistent failure to connect with the crowd when she speaks, leading to a “zero response” or “dead response” from fans.

Social media and wrestling circles consistently express this viewpoint, stating that although she demonstrates excellent physical skills, her microphone work is in dire need of improvement to effectively engage and captivate viewers.

Vince Russo’s Criticism After WWE RAW 08/11 Segment

On the August 11, 2025, episode of Monday Night RAW, Lyra Valkyria had a backstage interview segment that drew Vince Russo’s ire once again. Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling’s Legion of RAW podcast, Russo harshly critiqued her promo delivery.

Russo emphasized that her performance felt over-the-top and lacked authenticity, insisting that if he were directing her, they would rehearse repeatedly until it felt real. He called her mic work “bad acting” and suggested the need for continuous effort to bring credibility to her promos.

“Lyra Valkyria is horrible. Horrible, bro. Nothing out of her mouth is believable. That’s not how a person would act in that situation. And like I said, bro, if I’m there, we’re doing it over and over and over. And I’m telling her, if this were real, nobody would react that way. You are so over-the-top. And it is such bad acting, and we’re going to sit here and do it all night until I believe it. That’s exactly what I’m doing,” Russo said. [28:00 onwards]

Vince Russo recently predicted Lyra Valkyria will be fired within the next six months. Check out his comments here.
