WWE Raw Spotlights Ex-AEW Star
One of WWE’s newest signings has appeared on Monday Night Raw alongside their father who just so happens to be a former AEW star.
On August 2nd, Jacob Henry announced he’d signed a deal with WWE. Henry is the son of former World Heavyweight Champion and Hall of Famer Mark Henry. Mark Henry signed with AEW in 2021, but having never really pinned down a role on-screen in the company he left in May 2024 when his deal expired.
Now with Raw taking place in Austin, Texas, both Jacob and Mark Henry have been featured on the show, watching the action from the crowd.

What Are WWE’s Plans For Mark Henry’s Son?
According to a recent report from Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jacob Henry has signed a NIL deal meaning he’ll be paid by the sports entertainment giant while attending college:
Regarding Jacob Henry, the deal he signed was an NIL deal meaning he’ll be paid by WWE while he goes to college. He’ll be on the University of Oklahoma wrestling team as a heavyweight which is one of the best programs in the country. He will also be trying out for the football team in the spring.
Since leaving AEW in May 2024, Mark Henry has begun working as a booker and director for All Caribbean Wrestling.
