WWE Raw Results For January 13, 2025
This week on WWE Monday Night Raw featured CM Punk on the microphone, plus Damian Priest facing Finn Balor in a Street Fight.
I didn’t see Raw live this week. My beloved LA Rams of the NFL played (and won big) on Monday night and I had company over to watch it with me. I expect to write Raw reviews live most of the year, but there will be some exceptions. The Raw Deal review will be posted on Tuesday morning at some point. For now, here are the results of the show.
For this review, I will just put the match results and summarize some of the promos. I won’t include all the backstage segments or some shorter segments.
This week’s Raw was at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. The commentary team was Michael Cole and Pat McAfee.
CM Punk did a show opening promo declaring that he would be in the Men’s Royal Rumble. After Punk talked about his win over Seth Rollins last week on Raw, Seth Rollins interrupted to say last week’s match was the worst of his career and he was disappointed in himself. Rollins said he would win the Royal Rumble. Drew McIntyre joined the promo to trash Rollins and complain about Roman Reigns. Drew backed away from a fight and said he’d see Rollins & Punk in the Royal Rumble.
Match #1: Penta defeated Chad Gable by pinfall in Penta’s WWE debut match. Penta won with the Penta Driver.

Penta did a post match interview saying it’s not just the Netflix new era, it’s the Penta new era. Penta also thanked his family. The fans were strongly behind him.
Match #2: Sheamus defeated Ludwig Kaiser by pinfall. Sheamus won with a Brogue Kick. Sheamus confronted Bron Breakker after the match and they were separated before they got into a fight.
A match between Seth Rollins and Drew McIntyre was set up for next week’s Raw.
Karrion Kross was talking to The Miz backstage and Kross mentioned The Wyatt Sicks are on SmackDown now. Sami Zayn argued with them and set up a match Miz.
The World Heavyweight Champion Gunther did a cocky promo bragging about how good he is. Jey Uso interrupted and said Bloodline drama is behind him now, so he wanted a World Title shot at Saturday Night’s Main Event. Gunther insulted Jey, then Jey showed confidence in response, and the match was agreed to for SNME.
Match #3: Lyra Valkyria defeated Dakota Kai by pinfall to become the first Women’s Intercontinental Champion. Valkyria won with the Nightwing.
After the match, there was a backstage congratulations from Triple H on social media.
Congratulations to your first-ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion @Real_Valkyria.

Match #4: Sami Zayn defeated The Miz by pinfall. Zayn won with the Blue Thunder Bomb.
The following two matches will take place at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25th:
* Intercontinental Championship: Bron Breakker vs. Sheamus
* World Heavyweight Championship: Gunther vs. Jey Uso

Rhea Ripley did a promo as the new Women’s World Champion saying “Mami” is back on top. Nia Jax interrupted to say she would be winning the Royal Rumble and take whatever title she wanted, Bayley interrupted in her hometown and insulted Jax. Bayley and Ripley sent Jax out of the ring. Bayley showed Ripley respect, but Bayley also looked at Ripley’s title.
Next week on Raw:
* The New Day in action
* John Bradshaw Layfield will appear
* Seth Rollins vs. Drew McIntyre
Who Won WWE Raw’s Main Event?
Match #5: Damian Priest defeated Finn Balor by pinfall in a Street Fight. Weapons were used and tables were broken throughout the match. Balor’s buddies JD McDonagh & Carlito interfered for Balor, but the War Raiders took them out of the match. Priest won with South of Heaven for the pinfall win.
This week’s Raw was around 2 hours, 35 minutes, so it was around 30 minutes shorter than the first Raw on Netflix episode.
That’s all for now. As I said earlier, the Raw Deal review will be up on TJRWrestling on Tuesday morning. Thanks for reading.
