A church group is planning to picket WWE Raw.

Back in January, WWE, Vince McMahon, and John Laurinaitis were hit with a lawsuit filed by former employee Janel Grant. The suit contains a series of sickening allegations including claims of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and several instances of abuse.

As a result of the allegations, McMahon resigned from his position on the TKO Group Board of Directors at the behest of the company, although he denies any wrongdoing.

The lawsuit has also shined a light on historic allegations of sexual assault and misconduct going back decades.

The scandal has taken something of a backseat in some quarters in recent weeks as the claims work their way through the legal system, but others are determined not to let the issue drop.

The Westboro Baptist Church in Topeka, KS, announced that it would be picketing the 4/29 Raw show in Kansas City. This was due to the Janel Grant lawsuit and the charges in the suit as it relates to Vince McMahon and the company

John Laurinaitis Responds To WWE Lawsuit

The news comes after it was revealed that John Laurinaitis had legally acknowledged the lawsuit filed by Janel Grant. The former WWE Head of Talent Relations filed a waiver with the US District Court of Connecticut, which effectively serves as his legal response to the allegations.

Laurinaitis will respond to the suit within the next 60 days, starting on March 15th.

Due to the filing, Laurinaitis is the first person involved to legally acknowledge Grant’s lawsuit.
