WWE Pursuing Another International Star

WWE has bolstered its roster in recent months but now it seems the company is on the hunt for a major European star.

WWE tryouts have long been part of the company as it runs the rule over outside talent and athletes in an attempt to bolster its massive roster. College athletes and indie wrestlers have been scouted for NIL deals, with some of these would-be stars featuring on WWE LFG under the guidance of The Undertaker, Booker T, Mickie James, and Bubba Ray Dudley. The winners of WWE LFG were recently crowned as The Undertaker claimed the company’s newest title belt.

With WWE spending time in Europe recently, a tryout took place on March 30 and is said to involve a smaller group than in previous European tryouts. Among those invited to attend were Rhio and Man Like DeReiss – two talents the company has previously shown interest in. Also invited were PROGRESS Champion Luke Jacobs, Goldenboy Santos, Zozaya, and Adam Maxted.

But one star who has gone under the radar is very much on WWE’s.

WWE Target Spanish Star

Fightful Select has now reported that WWE have a significant interest in Spanish star Zozaya after his appearance at the tryout and the company is actively pursuing him. Sources close to the star noted that Zozaya is set to finish university in June. It is believed that any talent signed from the tryout would begin with WWE in September, giving him time to finish his studies.

Zozaya has been a staple in the Spanish wrestling scene as well as competing in the UK for promotions such as PROGRESS and RevPro.
