WWE Premium Live Event Set To Be Dropped

Triple H WWE

A new report has suggested a WWE PLE could drop off the schedule.

On March 27, it was reported that WWE is planning to bring back its all-female Premium Live Event, Evolution. According to the report, the event will return on July 5, and an official announcement will be made before WrestleMania 41.

This would be the first time the event has been held since 2018 when it was headlined by a Last Woman Standing Match between Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair.

Since then, fans, wrestlers, and several media personalities have been calling for the event’s return.

No WWE King & Queen Of The Ring

While Evolution will be back within months, the same seemingly can’t be said for King and Queen of the Ring. According to a report from Wrestle Votes via SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon, WWE’s return to Saudi Arabia will come with Night of Champions in June.

Crucially, the company is only heading to Saudi Arabia once in 2025 ahead of the Royal Rumble being held in the kingdom in early 2026.

“We have details regarding another PLE this time coming to Saudi Arabia. The event will take place on Saturday, June 28, and as of now, here’s the real news, it is titled Night of Champions, not King of the Ring, as it was last year. So, no King of the Ring currently on the schedule. However, we return to Saudi Arabia on Saturday, June 28, for the only PLE of the year in Saudi Arabia. This year will be titled Night of Champions.”

King and Queen of the Ring was initially set to debut in 2023 but was replaced by Night of Champions. The event would have seen the King of the Ring tournament return to being its own PLE for the first time since 2002 while also encompassing the Queen of the Ring tournament.

The event did finally return in 2024 in Saudi Arabia with Gunther crowned King, and Nia Jax crowned Queen of the Ring.
