WWE Legend Praises Triple H For Allegedly Lying About R-Truth’s Situation
Triple H has been commended for handling the R-Truth situation.
R-Truth’s return to WWE had fans across the globe asking many questions. In the post-show Press Conference, Triple H told the media that Truth’s release and return were all part of the show. While his answer has received mixed reviews, WWE Hall Of Famer JBL praised him.
On June 1st, R-Truth let the WWE Universe know that the Stamford-based company decided to release him from his contract. In the subsequent days, the fans took to social media and live shows to let the company know that they wanted the 53-year-old star back.
At Money In The Bank, R-Truth returned in the main event to help Cody Rhodes pin John Cena. In the post-show Press Conference, Triple H’s answer saying that it was all part of the show has been scrutinized by fans and veterans of the industry. On the Something To Wrestle podcast, JBL applauded The Game’s response because it blurred the lines between story and reality.
“When Hunter [Triple H] says this, I’m a huge fan of this. I’m a huge fan of saying, ‘Hey, it was all part of the show.’ I’m like, ‘Cool.’ You don’t know if it was or not. You think it probably wasn’t, but you don’t know for sure. I love that because that blurs that line, and I think that’s important to blur that line.”
Why Did Triple H Bring R-Truth Back In The WWE?
The former 24/7 Champion’s return to WWE within a week of his release has gotten the world buzzing. When Triple H said that it was all part of the show, Truth’s son indicated that it was a lie in a now-deleted Instagram Story. The 53-year-old star also responded to a fan’s post that claimed that it was a work, stating that it wasn’t.
At the post-show Press Conference, Cody Rhodes addressed R-Truth’s return to WWE. He told the fans that the sole reason Truth was back in the company was because of them. The management heard the “we want Truth” chants and decided to give the fans what they wanted.
