WWE Plotting Major International Return In 2025

Triple H WWE Jet

WWE is set to go on the road again in 2025 and it seems a return to the site of a hugely lucrative international show could be on the cards.

2024 has seen WWE head to Australia, France, Scotland, Germany, and Saudi Arabia with premium live events. With TKO at the helm, the company has leaned into securing rights fees from governments around the world to make their product truly global.

And now it seems one of those locations wants another go.

According to The West Australian, the city of Perth is in negotiations with WWE about a return in the second half of 2025. Tourism Minister Rita Saffioti is quoted as noting that the West Australian government is keen to bring the biggest stars to the state:

We’re constantly pursuing these types of unique and exclusive events that attract visitors to our beautiful State, particularly ones that we know are incredibly popular like UFC and WWE.

When Did WWE Go To Australia?

2024’s Elimination Chamber took place in the Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia in front of over 52,000 people. That show featured two Elimination Chamber matches with shots at championship gold at WrestleMania 40 on the line.

Becky Lynch won her Chamber match to guarantee a shot at the Women’s World Title while Drew McIntyre survived his and went on to win the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania 40 – even if he did only hold the gold for around 5 minutes.

The star of the show Down Under, however, was South Australian Rhea Ripley who headlined the show putting the Women’s World Title on the line against Nia Jax.
