WWE Running PLE Against Major AEW PPV

Triple H WWE

There will be three WWE events in the same city at the same time as one of AEW’s biggest PPV events of the year.

The first pay-per-view event in AEW history was Double or Nothing in May 2019. Every year since then, Double or Nothing has taken place in May in Las Vegas.

Double or Nothing 2025 is going to take place in Glendale (near Phoenix), Arizona this year on Sunday, May 25th. The reason it’s not in Las Vegas is likely because of WrestleMania 41 taking place in Las Vegas on April 19th & 20th.

On the WWE side, they are running four Saturday Night’s Main Event shows over 12 months. Two of them are already done and now we know a third date.

It has been reported by WrestleVotes Radio on SportsKeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon that three WWE shows will take place in Tampa, Florida in late May

“The other nugget that we’ve learned over the course of the week for you guys is we are told through sources that the location for next Saturday night’s Main Event has been confirmed, with the selection being Tampa, Florida, and the Amelie Arena, with the date of that show being May 24.

In addition, we can break the news that the night following Saturday Night’s Main Event on Sunday, May 25, NXT will present the Battleground PLE also from Tampa, Florida, with rumors that Monday Night Raw on the 26th will take place in Tampa as well.”

That means that the NXT Battleground PLE will be on Sunday, May 25th against AEW Double or Nothing.

AEW All In Will Be Against WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

In addition to the May 24th date for Saturday Night’s Main Event, WWE will also host SNME on July 12th for the fourth episode in the first year as part of an agreement with NBC Universal, which airs SmackDown on Fridays on USA Network.

What’s interesting about the July 12th date is that’s also when AEW All In Texas takes place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas and it will be AEW’s biggest show of the year.
