WWE’s Plans For Royal Rumble 2026 In Saudi Arabia

There are more details about WWE’s plans for the 2026 Royal Rumble.

For the first time ever, the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble will be heading to Saudi Arabia.

While WrestleMania and SummerSlam are two-day events, the Royal Rumble will remain a one-day show taking place on Saturday, January 31, 2026 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

There is a long gap between Survivor Series on November 29th and the Royal Rumble on January 31st, since it’s two whole months between PLEs. There are two Saturday Night’s Main Event specials between them, including John Cena’s final match against Gunther on December 13th.

Between now and January 31st at the Royal Rumble, there will be all kinds of rumors about who may or may not be on the show.

In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reports that the “current plan for Royal Rumble is a four-match show with two title matches and the two Rumble matches.” Meltzer added that the two title matches are not finalized yet, even though the show is less than two months away.

Considering WWE’s Chief Content Officer, Paul “Triple H” Levesqu,e likes doing PLE’s with just five matches on a regular show, it’s not a surprise to see that the Royal Rumble might have just four matches considering the Men’s and Women’s Royal Rumble matches usually run for about 1 hour in length, or even more than that sometimes.

The 2025 and 2024 Royal Rumble PLEs had four matches, while 2023 had five matches.

Bron Breakker May Win The WWE Men’s Royal Rumble Match

At WWE Survivor Series WarGames in San Diego, Bron Breakker won the Men’s WarGames Match for his team when he pinned the World Champion CM Punk. It wasn’t a clean win since there was a mystery attacker who hit a superkick and The Stomp on Punk before Breakker hit his Spear to win the match, but it’s still a huge win for Breakker.

As a reward for that victory, Bron Breakker will challenge CM Punk for the World Heavyweight Title on the January 5th edition of WWE Monday Night Raw.

Bron Breakker beating CM Punk for the World Title on Raw seems unlikely since Punk only recently won the title, so it’s not a surprise that Wrestlevotes reported that Breakker is a favorite to win the Men’s Royal Rumble match.

“Bron Breakker is your current… whiteboard favorite, as so bluntly described to us to win the Royal Rumble. An idea has been strongly considered within creative circles that would see Breakker win the Royal Rumble on January 31 from Saudi Arabia.”

Plans can change and indeed have changed over the years regarding Royal Rumble winners, but at least for now, Bron Breakker would be a good pick for anybody in a Royal Rumble pool.
