WWE Plans “Mystery Slot” For WrestleMania
WWE is keeping a WrestleMania secret.
With WrestleMania 40 just around the corner, speculation about the event is at fever-pitch. While the card is close to being complete, there has been a huge amount of speculation regarding several legends and rumours a whole host of WWE Hall of Famers could appear at the event.
On March 22nd it was reported that Steve Austin would be appearing at WrestleMania along with John Cena and The Undertaker. This was followed by a further report confirming WWE had made an “overture” to Steve Austin about an appearance.
During the beatdown between The Rock and Cody Rhodes that closed WWE Raw, there was a shot of a production truck with Cena and Austin on the side. This led some to wonder whether this was a tease for their involvement at WrestleMania and maybe even in the tag team match involving Rock and Rhodes.
However, it seems that quite isn’t the case. In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer said he was told “not to read too much into” the rumoured tease, but there is a “mystery slot” scheduled for the show.
There is said to be a mystery slot, but whether that mystery is Cena or somebody else is not known.
Several WWE Legends Heading To WrestleMania
It’s been reported that a whole host of legends will be at WWE WrestleMania, although there’s no word on whether they’ll be involved in the broadcast in any capacity. Stars such as Ron Simmons, Kane, Jimmy Hart, Michelle McCool, JBL, Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler, Madusa (Alundra Blayze), ‘Cowboy’ Bob Orton, and Rikishi will be all in attendance.
Meanwhile, it’s been announced that Hulk Hogan will be doing a meet and greet at WWE World.
