WWE Plans For Bad Blood PLE Main Event Revealed

The WWE Bad Blood PLE has a loaded lineup and a new report has revealed what the company is planning to put on last.

For the first time in 20 years, WWE will be using the name Bad Blood for a Premium Live Event on October 5th in Atlanta.

It’s a card that will feature some intense rivalries including the third Drew McIntrye-CM Punk match. After McIntyre controversially won at SummerSlam, CM Punk won dominantly at Bash in Berline when he got the victory in a Strap Match. To settle the rivalry that has been going on since January’s Royal Rumble, McIntyre and Punk will do battle in a vicious Hell in a Cell match.

In addition to that match, The Bloodline’s Solo Sikoa and his enforcer Jacob Fatu will face off against the dream team of WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and former WWE Champion Roman Reigns, who claims he is still the leader of The Bloodline since he’s the Original Tribal Chief. Reigns is the cousin of Sikoa and Fatu as well. It will be Roman’s first match in six months since he lost to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.

What Match Will Main Event WWE Bad Blood

As for what match goes on last, Fightful Select reports that the current plan is for the Rhodes/Reigns vs. Solo/Fatu tag team to go on last even though USA Network recently shared an article claiming the Punk-McIntyre match was the main event.

This past week on Smackdown saw WWE air a unique vignette featuring Rhodes & Reigns having a discussion at Georgia Tech’s Bobby Todd Stadium in Atlanta. Reigns is a proud Georgia Tech Yellow Jacket football player alumni while Rhodes lives in and grew up in the Atlanta area.

The Fightful report also referred to Reigns & Rhodes as “Rhodesman Reigns” although it’s not known if that will be an official team name that is mentioned on television.

The current lineup for WWE Bad Blood looks like this. Please note there’s a unique start time of 6 p.m. ET for the show due to a UFC event airing later that night and TKO Group wanting Bad Blood to finish before the UFC show starts.

* Roman Reigns & Cody Rhodes vs. The Bloodline – Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu

* Hell in a Cell Match: CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre

* WWE Women’s World Championship: Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley

* Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor

* WWE Women’s Championship: Nia Jax vs. Winner of Bayley/Naomi match to take place on Smackdown on September 27th.

It’s also expected that Gunther will defend the World Heavyweight Title against Sami Zayn. It’s not official yet as of this writing, but it should be announced soon.

You can watch WWE Bad Blood, streaming live on Saturday, October 5, at 6 p.m. ET/3 p.m. PT on Peacock in the United States and on WWE Network everywhere else.
