The return of a WWE superstar is always an awaited event. However, it needs to be done in a way that is unpredictable and impactful.

One of the best returns in 2025 was Seth Rollins’. He pulled off a ruse and convinced everyone that he was injured. However, he returned at SummerSlam 2025 with crutches, only to throw them off and cash-in the Money in the Bank contract.

Considering not everyone knew of the ruse, even WWE superstars and several backstage officials were caught off guard. A WWE Champion’s return needs to be unpredictable but should create an unforgettable moment.

Update on Seth Rollins’ WWE return

Bodyslam.net revealed a report that stated that Seth Rollins’ return and his work with The Vision, especially where he stands with the heel faction, have been discussed. While no timeline has been set for the return, the idea is to keep plans open for when he is ready to return to WWE.

Originally, Roman Reigns was supposed to defeat Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed on the road to WrestleMania 42, and then take the World Heavyweight Championship off The Visionary. This would lead to The Dog turning on Rollins and taking control of The Vision.

However, plans were derailed when Rollins suffered the injury during his match against Cody Rhodes at Crown Jewel. WWE had to pivot from original plans and have Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed turn on Rollins earlier than planned.

Currently, Roman Reigns is supposedly battling Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 42, while CM Punk and Bron Breakker are in a feud. Seth Rollins’ return is guaranteed to affect The Vision’s current storylines.
