WWE Planning Six Huge Matches For SummerSlam
Money In The Bank is now in the rearview mirror in WWE with SummerSlam the next major show on the horizon for the company.
Money In The Bank was held for the first time ever in London, England, and saw Roman Reigns finally lose via pinfall for the first time in three and a half years as his former right-hand man Jey Uso proved victorious in The Bloodline Civil War.
Jey Uso is the man who helped launch Roman Reigns as The Tribal Chief as the two men had a memorable feud over the Universal Title back in 2020 before Uso fell in line and acknowledged his cousin.

Now it looks like Uso could be back in the title picture after pinning Reigns according to a report from the Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer. Meltzer has listed six massive matches on the slate for SummerSlam with many of them set up through what happened at Money In The Bank. The matches are –
- Roman Reigns vs. Jey Uso
- Cody Rhodes vs. Brock Lesnar
- Trish Stratus vs. Becky Lynch
- Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Bianca Belair
- Gunther vs Drew McIntyre
- Ronda Rousey vs. Shayna Baszler
Meltzer also noted that WWE has plans in place for Logan Paul to be on the show on the 5th of August in Detroit, MI:
“Logan Paul is on the show. As of yesterday, he was not planned to face LA Knight as the plan was to give him an opponent for a showcase in-ring match. Just coming off TV, I figured Knight made the most sense and nothing is official until it’s announced. That still leaves openings for people like Seth Rollins, Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn and probably Edge, who returns on Friday night in MSG.”
Logan Paul was part of the men’s Money In The Bank ladder match in London, crashing through a table at ringside after Ricochet hit him with a precarious Spanish Fly. Damian Priest won that match, meaning that whoever Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns are lined up against at SummerSlam, they better have eyes in the back of their head.
