WWE Reportedly Planning Major Title Change Ahead Of Upcoming PLE
The future of the Women’s Tag Team Titles is allegedly decided.
Liv Morgan’s unfortunate injury has forced WWE to think of alternatives. One of those plans is to do with the Women’s Tag Team Championship. A report claims a new team will be taking up the reins soon.
The former Women’s World Champion was injured when Kairi Sane took her down, and she landed awkwardly on her shoulder. WWE confirmed that Liv Morgan had dislocated her shoulder, and reports state that she may be out of action for a long time.
With Evolution around the corner, it looked like Liv Morgan was going to wrestle Nikki Bella. However, her injury now has WWE planning the next steps for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. According to a report from Cory Hayes of Bodyslam.net, WWE plans to officially recognize Rocanne Perez and Raquel Rodriguez as the new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. The duo is reportedly set to defend their titles at the upcoming all-women’s PLE. The match is expected to be a Triple Threat Tag Team Match, though the names of the other two competitors have not been disclosed.
Roxanne Perez Has Been Helping Raquel Rodriguez in WWE
Before her match against Kairi Sane, Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez were dealing with issues as a team. Ever since Morgan was sidelined, Roxanne Perez has been trying her best to get on the good side of Rodriguez.
On WWE RAW last week, Perez came to the aid of her fellow Judgement Day member during her altercation with Rhea Ripley. Perez was able to tilt the favor towards Rodriguez, helping her drive Ripley through a table on the show. At Night of Champions, Perez was seen helping Rodriguez again in her Street Fight against Ripley, but the former Women’s World Champion was able to come out on top.
