WWE Planning “Imminent” Return For Top Star

Triple H WWE Evolution

A big WWE star will soon be back in action.

Jacob Fatu’s WWE career has gone from strength to strength since the star exploded onto the scene in June 2024.

Since then, Fatu has regularly graced high-profile segments, delivered quality matches, and won the United States and Tag Team Championship.

However, after failing to beat Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam and teaming with Jimmy Uso and Sami Zayn on the August 15 edition of SmackDown, Fatu has disappeared. The star isn’t dealing with an injury and has continued to wrestle at live events and in dark matches, but he’s surprisingly dropped from the spotlight.

But change could be on the horizon.

Jacob Fatu Remains In WWE’s Plans

In a positive update, reporting in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Fatu is expected back “imminently.”

The report comes after it was revealed that there’s no indication that WWE has given up on Jacob Fatu, despite his recent absence. According to the update from Sean Ross Sapp, Fatu remains well-liked within the company and is viewed as a special talent by those in power.

At present, just two matches have been announced for the September 26 edition of SmackDown. In the most eye-catching bout, Tiffany Stratton will defend the Women’s Championship against Nia Jax and Jade Cargill.

In a recent interview, Stratton confirmed that she’s fine after suffering an injury scare following a “rough landing” during a match with Cargill.

Elsewhere, Michin and B-Fab will face Giulia and Kiana James.
