WWE Planning Huge SummerSlam Main Event

WWE is marching into the summer on a hot streak and it seems SummerSlam’s main event is already set over a month before the show takes place.

Solo Sikoa has had his hand firmly gripped around The Bloodline since WrestleMania 40 with Roman Reigns disappearing and Jimmy Uso banished from the group.

Sikoa brought in Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa to reinvigorate The Bloodline and now on SmackDown in Chicago, the group may have made its most dangerous acquisition yet.

Solo Sikoa faced Cody Rhodes in a main event that did not last long before Tonga and Loa interfered causing the disqualification. Kevin Owens and Randy Orton made the save for Rhodes but with Sikoa cornered, it turned out he had a plan all along.

Jacob Fatu appeared and laid out all three men in a brutal and vicious attack as he stood with The Bloodline as the show went off the air.

Cody Rhodes Set For WWE SummerSlam Main Event

It looks like the feud between The Bloodline and Cody Rhodes will continue as Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa for the WWE Championship “is the planned main event at SummerSlam.”

SummerSlam will take place on Saturday, August 3rd in Cleveland, Ohio. After winning the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments, fans already know that SummerSlam will see Gunther and Nia Jax challenge for the World Heavyweight and WWE Women’s Titles respectively.
