WWE has seemingly set its sight on a former champion to receive push in 2026.

Lyra Valkyria has emerged as a crowd favorite in 2025, resulting in her being featured regularly on RAW.

Valkyria kicked off the year by winning the inaugural Women’s Intercontinental Championship, which she held until the Money in the Bank PLE in June, losing to compatriot Becky Lynch.

The 28-year-old continued feuding with Lynch across the next two premium live events, with their storyline coming to a close at SummerSlam.

Since then, she has majorly been featured in singles competition, but of late, has allied with Bayley, who is going through an identity crisis.

Both wrestlers have come to each other’s aid on separate occasions while facing The Judgement Day duo of Raquel Rodriguez and Roxanne Perez.

On the latest WWE RAW episode, Valkyria faced Perez in a singles match, but lost after an interference from Rodriguez.

After the match an irate Bayley dragged Valkyria to the back, after which both women were featured in a segment attacking Rodriguez and Perez backstage.

WWE Has Big Plans For Lyra Valkyria

Lyra Valkyria’s in-ring performances coupled with the audience’s reaction towards her have become hard to ignore for WWE.

Bodyslam‘s sources within the Stamford promotion have revealed that the company has big plans for the Irish superstar throughout 2026.

After competing in NXT for 4 years, Valkyria was drafted to the RAW brand on Night 2 of the 2024 Draft.

She was immediately included in a storyline with Becky Lynch, whom she saved from an attack by Damage CTRL. Her in-ring debut came during the first round of the Queen of the Ring Tournament, where she defeated Dakota Kai.

On the October 13 taping of RAW, she will team up with Bayley to take on The Judgment Day in a tag team match.
