WWE Planned Late Bad Blood Twist Months In Advance

Triple H WWE

WWE had a Bad Blood stipulation in the works for months.

After Monday Night Raw, things aren’t looking good for Dominik Mysterio.

At Bad Blood, Rhea Ripley will challenge Liv Morgan for the Women’s World Title. Following WrestleMania Ripley’s world fell apart when she was forced to give up the championship after being attacked by Morgan. With the Aussie star out of action, Morgan slid in to take the title and eventually Dominik Mysterio.

Once back in the ring, Ripley was denied in her first match with Morgan, as Mysterio finally turned his back on her, helping his new love to claim the win.

With Ripley hell-bent on revenge, a rematch was made for Bad Blood, but on Raw, that match was given a fresh twist.

During the show, Ripley confronted Morgan and Mysterio, informing the pair that during this match, Dominik Mysterio would be suspended above the ring in a shark cage.

WWE Was Always Planning Storyline Twist

While the match stipulation might have been a surprise to fans, according to a new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider it had been planned for “several months.” Despite the relatively late announcement, it wasn’t a late addition to the show.

Meanwhile, it’s been reported that Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu will be the main event of the show. The report caused surprise among fans, as many expected the Hell in a Cell match between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre to take top billing.

Bad Blood will take place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia on October 5th.
