WWE Advertising “Pitch Black Match” For 2023 Royal Rumble
A new video has confirmed that WWE is planning to do the rumored Pitch Black match at the 2023 Royal Rumble.
There has been some confirmation that WWE is planning to do the first-ever Pitch Black Match at the 2023 Royal Rumble on January 28th in San Antonio. It was about a month when WrestlingNewsCo first reported the company’s plan to do a Pitch Black Match.
In an update, WrestlingNewsCo mentioned that WWE was advertising the Pitch Black Match during a commercial that was used to hype the Royal Rumble event itself.

In the advertising that you can see on WWE’s Youtube channel among other places, they use the following phrase: “When it’s the Pitch Black Match, anything can happen.” The 15-second video is below.

As WrestlingNewsCo also reported earlier in December and we covered as well, WWE is also planning on doing a Hell in a Cell match at the Royal Rumble with Edge facing Finn Balor.
It’s possible that WWE will announce the Pitch Black match as soon as this week on Smackdown since it’s a big show due to John Cena’s in-ring return or perhaps wait until January arrives.
