WWE Personality Questions Cody Rhodes’ Future Amid Unfortunate Prediction

Cody Rhodes is set to fight Seth Rollins at WWE Crown Jewel.

The American Nightmare defeated Gunther last year in Saudi Arabia to become the inaugural Crown Jewel Champion. The Undisputed WWE Champion will now square off with the World Heavyweight Champion, Seth Rollins, for the title at Crown Jewel in Perth, Australia.

Speaking on his Notsam Wrestling podcast, WWE personality Sam Roberts predicted the outcome of the highly anticipated clash, disclosing that he believes The Visionary will come out victorious. The 42-year-old also questioned Rhodes’ future after the potential defeat.

I think Cody Rhodes is going to lose this match. And it will be interesting if Cody does lose this match because I’m curious of where he goes after it. And I’m curious of what his narrative will be around this match, after the match. We know what his narrative is going into the match, which is I’m the quarterback.

Like it or hate it, it’s a nickname. I understand that there are other talented people around here, but right now, I’m the man. And also, Seth Rollins can’t beat me. Well, if Seth Rollins beats him and he says, ‘Hey, Seth, you were the better man that night.’ And Seth goes, ‘No, no, no. I’m the better man in general and I’m the one shaping the industry.’ Does Cody then have to rebuild a little bit? Does he have to go back to proving himself?

Will The Vision Turn On Seth Rollins If He Loses To Cody Rhodes At WWE Crown Jewel?

Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes went head-to-head thrice following The American Nightmare’s return to WWE three years ago. The Visionary failed to win any of their fights.

Last Monday on RAW, Seth Rollins insisted that his Oracle, Paul Heyman, tell him what would happen if he loses again to the Undisputed WWE Champion. The WWE Hall of Famer teased The Vision turning on their leader.

You want it straight? If you lose to Cody Rhodes, you lose the locker room. You lose the faith of Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed that your vision is the one that leads us into the future. You throw away everything that we’ve built since WrestleMania. You throw away the fact that the entire Netflix era has been built around Seth Freakin’ Rollins and you become nothing more in history than a de facto, wanna be secondary champion. So please, do yourself a favor and don’t lose.
