WWE Making Permanent Change After Backlash France
Backlash France has come and gone but the reaction from the crowd in France has lived long in the memory and looks to have made a permanent change in WWE.
Tonga Loa shocked the world when he made his WWE debut at Backlash France helping The Bloodline claim a big win over Randy Orton and Kevin Owens. The show also saw Jade Cargill win the first gold of her WWE career but it was undoubtedly the crowd in Lyon that stole the show.
The cameras shook as the crowd chanted and sang all night adding an electric atmosphere to an otherwise straightforward show. Their enthusiasm for one major star now looks to have made a permanent change to their presentation.
WWE Encouraging Jey Uso’s Fireflies
Fightful Select has reported that one aspect of the French crowd’s excitement caught their interest more than most and could lead to a permanent change to Jey Uso’s presentation.
Jey Uso received a wild reaction from the crowd in Lyon who greeted him after SmackDown for a dark match and for his World Heavyweight Championship match with Damian Priest at Backlash with “fireflies” as they lit their phones up for the star.
WWE is said to be pushing crowds in the US to mimic the Lyon crowd for Uso’s entrances moving forward and the lighting will remain dimmed for his entrances. It was also noted that if his theme is played in a mainstream setting then it will get attention on WWE TV.
