What WWE Officials Believe About Seth Rollins’ Health Status

Seth Rollins

Seth Rollins got the big win at WWE Crown Jewel, but he also paid the price in doing so.

The main event of WWE Crown Jewel saw the World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins defeat the Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes by using a watch to punch Rhodes without the referee seeing it. Rollins finished off Cody with The Stomp for the win.

Even though Seth Rollins won the 2025 Crown Jewel Championship by beating Rhodes, the bigger story was the injury that Rollins suffered during the match.

During the match, Rollins tried a move that isn’t that common in a WWE ring. While Cody was against the turnbuckle, Rollins went up the turnbuckle across the ring, and instead of doing a Coast to Coast dropkick like Rob Van Dam or Shane McMahon, he did a headbutt. While landing in the ring, Rollins landed hard on his left arm/shoulder. Announcer Wade Barrett picked up on it right away. Rollins was able to continue, but he was clearly in pain.

Throughout the week, there have been reports about Seth Rollins potentially needing shoulder surgery on his left arm, which would likely lead to him vacating the World Heavyweight Title as well.

Seth Rollins No Longer Has The Vision By His Side

On WWE Raw in Perth, The Vision’s Bron Breakker hit Rollins with a surprising Spear to end the show. Bronson Reed joined Breakker in the attack by hitting Rollins with the Tsunami splash off the top rope. Meanwhile, the “Oracle” Paul Heyman joined Breakker and Reed over a fallen Rollins, so it appears Seth’s group is dead for now.

As for the future, Fightful Select reports that sources in WWE “WWE expect to be without Seth Rollins in the ring for a while.” No timeline was given, but if he needs surgery, that could be an absence of half a year or more for shoulder surgery.

The fact that WWE had The Vision turn on Rollins could be another example of how WWE thinks of Seth’s injury as a long-term thing.
