WWE NXT Title Match Confirmed At TNA Impact Tapings (SPOILER)
The dominant NXT Champion Oba Femi knows when he’s going to defend the championship against one of TNA’s biggest stars.
There was a surprise at WWE NXT on February 18th when the NXT Champion Oba Femi was confronted by TNA’s X-Division Champion Moose, who is part of a group known as The System.
Moose said that he burst the bubble that Oba is living in because he is the one man that Femi can’t rule over.
In response to that, Femi told Moose that TNA is his bubble and over here, Femi is inevitable. Moose said that this has to happen: Femi vs. Moose. Femi said it will happen. Each man held up their titles.
During a Friday night TNA Impact taping in Orlando, X/Twitter user @MrJacobCohen reported there was a segment where NXT Champion Oba Femi appeared in front of the crowd. He was immediately interrupted by Moose and The System. They were separated by security.
It was also announced that Oba Femi will defend the NXT Title against Moose at the NXT Roadblock show on Tuesday, March 11th at The Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City. It appears as though Moose’s TNA X-Division Title will be on the line in that match as well.
Oba Femi Could Become WWE Hall Of Famer According To Booker T
Booker T is a two-time WWE Hall of Famer who has been part of the NXT commentary team for over two years, which means he has been ringisde for every match that Femi has had on NXT TV and PLE shows. While speaking about Femi as a performer, Booker praised the powerful former shotputter and claimed that Femi was on his way to having a WWE Hall of Fame career.
“Oba, he’s done so much so soon in his career. He seems like one of those guys that’s gonna have one of those Hall of Fame careers, and it seems like he’s gonna do it in about ten years [laughs], I’m serious.
“It’s something about these NIL guys, they pick it up so quick. They’re coming in, and they’re learning television. They’re learning how to go out and perform. Then they bring in such a realism to the game at the same time.
Big ups to this NIL program and Triple H and how they put this thing together. I swear it’s paying dividends. It’s working, and a guy like Femi, definitely I think is going to take this business by storm.”
Femi made his television in-ring debut on the NXT Level Up show in November 2022. By January 2024, he won the Men’s Breakout Tournament and soon after that, he started a memorable reign as the NXT North American Champion. Now at 26 years old, he is leading the NXT brand as its champion and has unlimited potential when he reaches the main WWE roster.
